HOW IT WORKS HOW TO ASSEMBLE AND INSTALL A HELIOSTAT This is a delicate, precise process that requires a warehouse close to the solar thermal tower field, divided into four specific zones for pedestals, grills, facets and dispatch of each part. The pedestal that supports the structure is prepared to be very resistant, especially to the wind. It is transported to the field and then erected and leveled. The facets are manufactured and supplied to the assembly line for the support grates, which are also profiled for strength. They are then moved to the field, erected, and connected to the pedestal. The mobile drives, motors and solar sensors are mounted in the first warehouse. Next to this warehouse, another manufacturing and supply of facets to the assembly line is installed. It usually has a warehouse to manage stoppages in the installation if too much wind blows, or the weather for the assembly phase is adverse.
