20 aniversario INTEGRATED INFRASTRUCTURE AGAINST CLIMATE THREATS Last summer, British Columbia was hit with an extreme and unexpected heat wave that contributed to the sudden death of one hundred people in just a few days, while the village of Lytton registered a record tem-perature of 49.4ÂșC. The climate emergency is undeniable. The country is committing to sustainable infrastructure as a basic strategy to adapt to climate change, but also as growth and economic support across the county. And these infrastructure projects include everything from renewable wind and hydraulic energy to water supply, highways, hos-pitals, and aerodromes in remote areas. The cities are booming, often leading to traffic congestion that takes its toll on the environment and Royal Jubilee Hospital, built by ACCIONA in Vancouver, with two prizes as PPP project.
