INTERVIEW This sports motto could also apply to ACCIONA’s concessions busi-ness, which is cross-cutting and multidisciplinary in nature as it plans, finances, structures, operates, manages, and maintains for decades multiple infrastructures owned by ACCIONA and major customers. In other words, it ties the overt success of constructing a macro asset to the much more discreet but equally important everyday success of man-agement that is continually honed to create long-term value, embody-ing the idea that the hard part isn’t getting there, but staying there. Its CEO, Diego Marín, describes its journey from being, not so long ago, an appendage of ACCIONA’s construction division to becoming a busi-ness with its own identity and a diverse team, which is active in a wide range of sectors, complements the entire group, and has an increasing-ly important role in its triple impact at the social, environmental, and financial levels. How do you view ACCIONA’s concessions business? We are the development, capital investment and asset management business for infrastructure projects that reflect the group’s sustaina-bility values, and we follow an increasingly diversified growth strate- 10 billion + 76 8 euros of total investments managed, with recent inclusions totaling €4.1 billion projects in the pipeline that would entail an investment of over €83 billion countries on 3 continents: Australia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Mexico, New Zealand, Spain, and the USA
