With a combined capacity of 1,600 MW operating or under con-struction, Wickham’s sights are set firmly on the future. With ambitious targets to double Energía’s installed capacity in Australia by 2027, he believes Australia is on the cusp of a renewable energy boom. “Australia has such an abundance of renewable energy resources. It’s perfectly posi-tioned to make use of these enormous opportunities to decarbonize its electricity grid. Queensland is no stranger to renewable energy either.
